What services does Clarity Care offer?
Clarity Care provides a full range of diagnostic imaging and minimally invasive treatments.
Our services include:
- Diagnostic Imaging: MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, Mammography, DEXA (bone density), and Full Body Imaging
- Interventional Radiology Procedures: Treatment for uterine fibroids, enlarged prostate (BPH), knee pain, spine fractures, peripheral artery disease, venous disease, pelvic venous insufficiency, varicocele, and certain cancer-related conditions
What is interventional radiology (IR)?
Interventional radiology is a branch of medicine that uses image guidance (like X-ray or ultrasound) to perform minimally invasive procedures. These treatments often replace surgery—meaning less pain, less downtime, and faster recovery.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment by calling our office directly or by requesting an appointment online through our website. Your doctor can also send us a referral.
Do I need a referral?
Some imaging exams and procedures require a referral from your healthcare provider, while others (like screening mammograms or DEXA scans) may not. Our scheduling team will help determine what’s needed for your situation.
How soon can I get an appointment?
We offer same-week appointments for most diagnostic imaging and many interventional procedures. Availability may vary depending on the type of exam or preparation required.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring:
- A photo ID
- Your insurance card
- Any doctor’s order or referral
- Previous imaging CDs or reports (if available)
Do you accept my insurance?
Clarity Care accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Please call our office to confirm coverage or check with your insurance provider to verify in-network status.
Will I know my out-of-pocket costs before the procedure?
Yes. We’ll provide a cost estimate and review of benefits before your exam or procedure. Our billing team can help you understand your coverage and any potential costs.
Do you offer self-pay or cash options?
Yes. We offer competitive self-pay rates and can provide a quote upfront. Payment plans may also be available for certain procedures.
How do I prepare for my imaging exam?
Preparation depends on the type of exam:
- MRI or CT: You may need to avoid eating or drinking for a few hours beforehand.
- Ultrasound: Certain exams require a full bladder or fasting.
- Mammogram: Avoid lotions or deodorants before your appointment. Our staff will give you detailed instructions when scheduling.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing without metal fasteners or zippers is best. You may be asked to change into a gown depending on the test.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes. Friends or family are welcome to accompany you, though they may be asked to wait outside the exam room for safety reasons.
Will it hurt?
Imaging exams are completely painless. Minimally invasive procedures typically use local anesthesia or mild sedation, so you’ll be comfortable throughout.
How long will my appointment take?
Diagnostic exams: Usually 15–45 minutes
Interventional procedures: 1–3 hours including prep and recovery
Who performs the exam or procedure?
All imaging and procedures are performed by board-certified radiologists and technologists who specialize in diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology.
When will I get my results?
For a mammogram, results are given immediately. You will go over the results with the radiologist right after the screening. For other imaging services, you will get results very quickly, typically within 24–48 hours.
Will I need to stay overnight?
No. All procedures and imaging exams are outpatient, meaning you’ll go home the same day.
How soon can I return to normal activities?
Most patients return to regular activities within a day or two after an interventional procedure. Your doctor will provide specific recovery instructions.
Where are you located?
Our center is conveniently located at 9040 Quivira Road, Lenexa, Kansas, 66215. Free parking is available.
